Jobs protected; vacation bank opened

UUP recently signed two relevant memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with the state. One extends the salary and benefit packages and protects jobs of members called to federal or state military service. The other provides an emergency vacation bank, preventing members from losing accrued vacation if the Sept. 11 disaster impacts their ability to use the days.
