Take advantage of discounts this summer

If summer plans include the use of a rental car or a trip to a Six Flags theme park, don’t forget about the discount plans available from NYSUT Member Benefits.

Bargaining unit members can get discounted passenger-car rental rates through NYSUT’s arrangements with Avis, Hertz and Alamo. To get the discount, identify yourself as a NYSUT member and give the NYSUT discount identification number when making your reservations. UUPers may be asked to present their UUP/NYSUT membership card when picking up the rental car.

The discounts are given on standard rental rates for passenger cars. Discounts do not apply to taxes, drop-off charges, service fees, promotional rates or rentals included in a tour package. All renters must meet the standard financial responsibility and driver qualifications established by these companies.
